We're not worried! We don't ride bikes. We don't jog. We don't roller blade. And we sure don't wander around the river bottom. There's a mountain lion loose in the City. The last time I checked, Bakerfield's elevation was a little over 300 feet above sea level. Where does this cat get off being in the flatlands? He likes smog? He was kiyaking the white water of the Kern River and got swept away? High elevation gives him headaches? He's trying to find the Tule Elk Reserve? He's looking for those low air fares so he can vacation in Montana? My theory is that some irresponsible Bakersfieldian flushed the cat down the toilet and he's just now getting his bearings.
