It is near the end of the year and the folks of Bakersfield are about to conclude their latest public craze and begin anew in January. Around here we call this new sport "Pop Pete", "Smack Mack", "Drop Dorothy" or occasionally, "Murder". Number 95 was on the six o'clock (Dec. 8, 1994). Normally we don't meddle in other people's lives with suggestions or opinions, but, this issue is getting out hand. I don't believe there has been one incident involving a politician. We don't condone murder, but, come on, at least be a little productive.
