DisneyWorling (Day One)
February 5, 1994
Our latest adventure started on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving.
We loaded up the kids and headed for DisneyLand.
Stay on I-5, stay on I-5.
Whoa, the kids are asleep.
Let's see, one hour from BTown, yep, time for a pit stop (back in the 60's we carried a jar).
Windy, gusty, but the car didn't overheat, no flats.
No time to signal changing lanes, just zip in there.
Why is my neck getting stiff?
Look out, that semi just dropped part of his crushed car load on the highway!
Stay on I-5, stay on I-5.
L.A.
Slow down, coming to an interchange.
Go left, go right, go up the middle, stay on I-5.
Have to pass Knott's Berry Farm first.
Hey, Anaheim, turn right.
Unload the car, up to the fourth floor, unload the car, up to the fourth floor, unload the car, up to the fourth floor.
2:30p.m.
Grab the kids, get the car, Disneyland is 3 blocks.
"That will be $6.00 to park and you know we close at 6:00p.m. today?".
Right!
We've been telling the kids for two months, Disneyland and we drive by today and point it out on the way to the motel and we're not going to Disneyland today?
Wrong!
Very few people in the Park.
We walk right in to Pirates of the Caribbean, blah, blah.
Rent a stroller for Brooklyn.
Taylor, "I can't walk".
Carry Brooklyn, push Taylor.
Carry Taylor.
Walk Taylor.
More rides.
OK.
Near 6:00 p.m.
Go grab some dinner.
Hit the Whatchacallit near the motel.
Utter kiddamonia at the table.
The kids are tired, we're tired.
Back to the motel.
David sleeps, no one else can - snoring?
SNORING!
