It has been about six years since we have had a pet update. There are many changes. The hamsters are all gone. Either cats or old age. Mostly cats. Hamsters are really smart critters. They want out. They get out. Cats like hamsters. For awhile, the house looked like a segment of The Godfather. Instead of horse heads, we had hamster heads. Cats like to show their owners they can hunt.

Added three cats - Buzz, Woody and Chester. Buzz and Woody were added after Kirby passed away. They were David's cats. A casual trip to the SPCA ended with two black brothers coming home with the Seibolds. Buzz passed away several years ago under suspicious neighborhood circumstances. Sassy the female cat is now outnumbered 3 to 1 by males. Chance the cat likes the odds.

Gus the dog passed away in 2004. The first Seibold family dog. That was a tough one. Max the dog was lonely although he did get to spend more time in the house. So, Buddy the dog was added to the Seibold menagerie. Buddy came from the Wasco SPCA and apparently had been abused by a male. David and Buddy have a lot of work to do to gain each other's confidence.

Ernie the bird passed away in December of 2004. After Christmas. Ernie was 24 years old. Ernie had a habit of stimulating himself by rubbing on his perch. We figure heart attack. At least he went out happy. Ernie was the last of David's original pets.
