Happy Feline

Shari went to the old house to see how things were going. Windows broken out, insect infestation, neighbors taken up residence in house, for sale sign stolen? She heard a weak meow coming from a bush in the neighbor's yard. Investigating, Shari found Chance, "The Cat That Didn't Make The Move". It's been almost two months. Chance is quite a bit thinner but he didn't go feral on us. Five minutes of coaxing and he was screaming, "Mommy, Mommy. I knew you'd come back for me. Where the heck have you been?" The Vet checked him out and the cat has a liver problem so we're taking precautions. Apparently, Chance didn't do a lot of water drinking in the past two months. Shari spent the first two days using an eyedropper until the cat figured out that he could get water out of a bowl. No problem in the eating department although he has a tendancy to pounce on anything and start chewing!

What do the Seibolds think about the prodigal cat coming home? The dog seems pleased; Gus and Chance always played together. One rear sniff each brought back all the memories. Kirby the cat seems a little indifferent. Sassy the cat seems downright annoyed. Chance used to give Sassy a hard time. Ernie the Bird could care less. The kids are ecstatic. Taylor and Chance have always had a good relationship. Brooklyn immediately tried to squeeze the ninth life out of Chance. Shari will be happy once Chance's indoor quarantine is lifted and the cat box, food and water are moved out of the master bathroom. Dad will be happy as long as Chance doesn't croak anytime soon so we get a little return on the cat's Vet bill. Chance will be happy when we quit slamming the door in his face to keep him in the house. The Cat People will be happy because there is no dead cat in the freezer we've donated to them.
